Installation and teardown timelines depend on venue access, municipal permitting, inspections, and the size/complexity of your structure. The City of Calgary notes that reviews of building permit applications for temporary tents can take several weeks—and in some cases months—especially for larger setups. To ensure seamless coordination, we recommend: Weddings & private events: Book 2–12 months in advance.  Corporate or public events requiring permits: Book 2–12 months in advance. Begin 6–12 weeks before your event to allow for site assessments, engineering (when applicable), and municipal review periods.  Engineered, large‑scale, or phased installations: Expect installation to occur 1–3 days before your event, with teardown typically 1–3 days after, depending on venue restrictions and weather conditions. If flooring is requested, it may take an additional 1-2 days.  Seasonal/weather‑sensitive builds: Additional lead time may be required to secure ideal installation windows.

If your tent requires staking, a Utility Locate is legally required before installation. In some cases, a private locator is required in addition or instead of the Utility Locate. This ensures all underground utilities are marked, protects your property, and complies with Calgary’s safety expectations surrounding temporary tent structures.   We can coordinate the locate request and integrate it into your installation schedule, but it must be initiated well in advance to prevent delays—ideally at the same time you reserve your tent installation window.
